Review: Belong To Me by Laura Howard

Kate and Noah thought they had the kind of love that could last through anything. Until their world crumbles out from beneath them.
After months of separation, the tragic death of Jack, Kate's twin and Noah's best friend, throws them back together. As they try to heal from the horrific loss, will they be able to overcome old wounds or are they destined to live separately forever?

My Review: Belong To Me was a really good short read. It was a great story about a second shot at love. At first I read the summary and I thought I knew what I was going in for. In reality, I had no idea. I never expected these characters to have so much history- both tragic and beautiful. They were best friends and their relationship just clicked. They made sense. I know the feeling of thinking you've moved on and then realizing you were fooling yourself all along. But this book was much more than that.
Noah & Kate have been through so much in the past couple of years and I loved seeing them come together again. I felt for Kate after the loss of her brother and I understood the numbness she felt, apposed to the usual crying and freaking out we usually see. It was surreal to her and she often found herself sitting somewhere and thinking about the fact that this was real, this was happening and she was never going to see her twin brother again.
She found comfort in Noah because they were once best friends- her, Jack and Noah. It was good that she actually had someone to talk to and reminisce about the good times they experienced with Jack as well as lean on when she needed support. I think Noah brought out a good side of her after they resolved their issues and I think it was the same vice versa. This was a light, beautiful read. I truly
enjoyed it.
