*Note: This book is #5 in the Forbidden Men series.
Synopsis: Let your hair down, Caroline, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

I know I've closed myself off in a major way over the past year, ever since “the incident” where I messed up my life completely. It's past time I try to live again or just give up altogether. But this is quite possibly the craziest thing I've ever done. In a last ditch effort to invigorate myself, I'm standing outside Oren Tenning's bedroom, I just peeled off the sexiest pair of underwear I own, and my hand is already raised to knock. My brother would disown me for doing anything with his best friend, and he'd probably kill Oren. But if I play my cards right, no one will ever know about this. Not even Ten.

Maybe after tonight, I’ll finally get over this stupid, irrational crush I hate having on the biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Or maybe I’ll just end up falling for him even harder. Maybe I’ll discover there’s so much more to my crude, carefree hunk than meets the eye.

My Review: Oh my god, I had been waiting for this forever! I love the Forbidden Men series. I love it's characters and its unique different stories.

I have loved Ten's character since the first time he was introduced in this series. He was an amusing, womanizing asshole and I loved him for it. He is such a good friend to the people around him even though people usually know him for his crude personality and the fact he has absolutely no filter.
We meet Caroline in Noel's book {To Professor, With Love}. She is Noel's little sister and let's just say this poor girl has been through the ringer since we first met her. She's had a tough upbringing having to take care of her younger brothers all by herself while Noel was off at college.

From the moment Ten meets Caroline, he has a thing for her. Knowing Ten, we expect it to be all about bagging her but it's not. Which only makes it worse since she is his best friends younger sister and he is constantly being told to not even look at her. Noel is incredibly protective of his younger sister and Ten therefore tries his absolute best to stay away and not give in to what he's feeling- but the heart wants what the heart wants.

I got used to thinking of him as Oren since Caroline always refused to call him anything other than his name. When Caroline finally managed to get her hands on him and get him to stop fighting their attraction and give their relationship a chance, I almost happy danced. (But I couldn't because it was like five in the morning and I still couldn't put this book down). Since the very beginning, I could see how good they would be for each other. He was so different with her than he was with everyone else. He didn't try to play the dumb player role, he was who he was and he was never afraid to be judged by her. They were both standing besides each other during their lowest points and it just showed how deeptly they cared for one another. Their relationship was just beautiful and I loved seeing it grow as the story went on.

I read this book in one sitting. I can't remember doing that for so long. I was planning on drawing it out and enjoying it but once I started I kept saying "one more chapter" until I read "The End" There were just so many parts that I read and just HAD to know what was going to happen next. This book went from making me giddy with laughter, to hot with smut and then heartbroken and on the verge of tears.

A Perfect Ten was just everything I wanted for Oren and Caroline's story. It was absolutely beautiful and it also made me laugh so hard at Oren's shenanigans. I just love this book, and this series, and the characters involved and pretty much everything about it. Linda Kage hit the freaking jackpot when writing these beautiful books. I can't wait to get them all in paperback and have them lying next to all my other favorite reads.
