Top 12 Books of 2015!

Friday, January 1, 2016
I have been fortunate enough to read SO many amazing books this year! In order to make choosing favorites easier, I decided to only pick 12- one book per month. I have even discovered new authors that I am very glad I found and some of them are even included in this list! I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve!

January
Beautiful Redemption (Maddox Brothers #2) by Jamie McGuire

Beautiful Disaster was the first romance novel I read. It is one of the books that really inspired me to create my own book blog.
We finally got Thomas Maddox's story! It was one hell of a story to kick off the year and I absolutely LOVED his book. Jamie McGuire remains one of my favorite authors. ♥

“I was miserable and angry because I loved a man who I couldn’t love, who loved someone else but loved me more.”

 February
The Pact (The McGregors #1) by Karina Halle
*New Author*
Steph and Linden ended up being one of my favorite couples of the year. I loved Karina's writing style and her characters. I found myself getting completely lost within the book and not being able to put it down for something longer than a bathroom break. Throughout the year, more books have been added to this series and Karina Halle has quickly become one of my instant-one-click-authors.

"Everything is changing. I'm nowhere but I'm somewhere and it's not where I want to be."

March
When I Fall (Alabama Summer #3) by J. Daniels
The Alabama Summer series is one of my all time favorite series. The men are insanely hot and they make it incredibly hard to not love them. The women are strong willed, beautiful and strong. When I Fall is the story of Reed and Beth. Although I have love Reed from the very first moment he was introduced into the series, I loved his book so much more than I could've expected. He was absolutely hilarious, and so stinking filthy. J. Daniels has a way of making her readers fall deeper and deeper in love with the series as it goes on. I cannot wait for the series to continue on with CJ's story.

"I could've dated those women, I could've kissed them, but nobody would've made me fall except you. It's only ever been you, Beth."

April
A Perfect Ten (Forbidden Men #5) by Linda Kage

This is one of those books I can talk forever about. Linda Kage is such a wonderful writer and the Forbidden Men series is so freaking amazing. It's one of those series I can go back to and read again- over, and over and over without growing tired of it. I am completely in love with Oren Tenning. A Perfect Ten was just everything I wanted for Oren and Caroline's story. It was absolutely beautiful and it also made me laugh so hard at Oren's shenanigans. I just love this book, and this series, and the characters involved and pretty much everything about it. Linda Kage hit the freaking jackpot when writing these beautiful books

"Baby, there's nothing they can say or do to keep me away from you."

May
The Deal (Off-Campus #1) by Elle Kennedy
*New Author*
I have always been a huge fan of College novels. Especially those involving sports. What can I say except for the fact that I absolutely loved this book? With the way people were talking about it- I assumed Garrett was like any other athlete in college. Frat boy, player, cocky, bit of an a-hole. Wrong. Garrett was pretty dorky and adorable. He was confident but it didn't get to a point where it was cocky and made me want to punch him. If I'm being honest, I couldn't wipe the grin off my face while reading this entire book

"You are not, under any circumstances, allowed to watch Breaking Bad without me."

June
#Nerd (#Nerd #1) by Cambria Hebert
*New Author*

How could anyone read this book and not fall head over heals in love with the Roman Anderson A.K.A. Romeo? #Nerd had so many different things I love about books. It was sweet, funny. a bit dramatic and at times even suspenseful. It was so freaking good and as the series has gone on, it has only gotten better!

"She was beautiful. More beautiful than anyone I'd ever seen.

July
Sacrifice by Adriana Locke
*New Author*
Adriana Locke is one of the first new authors I discovered once I created my blog. To say she is a kick ass author is to say the least. Sacrifice put me through such a huge emotional roller-coaster that I didn't even know which way was up. It was such an amazing and emotional book.It was very, very intense and at times even eye opening to some situations. It never sugar coated serious situations and that was one of the things I appreciated the most about this book. Crew Gentry is one of those few unforgettable characters.

"Give me a chance to do something I'm proud of, for once. Give me a chance to man up."

August
It Ain't Me, Babe (Hades Hangmen #1) by Tillie Cole
The Hades Hangmen series was one of the most powerful book series I have read. Ever. It Ain't Me is a phenomenal and epe opening book. This book had plot twists that left me with my jaw on the ground. Plot twists I refused to believe and when they would sink in- I would want to cry. I loved the Hades Hangmen. They were crude bad-asses but they were hilarious. I couldn't help but laugh so many times in which it might've been inappropriate.

"Her voice was as tiny as she was, but it was the sweetest damn thing I'd ever heard."

September
Dark Wild Night (Wild Seasons #3) by Christina Lauren
Anybody who knows me also knows my love for Christina Lauren books so therefore, it's no surprise that Dark Wild Night made it into the list. Oliver was geeky, smart and undeniably sexy. I loved how Oliver was the perfect mixture of geeky and dirty. I loved his relationship with Lola even more. He knew exactly what she needed, when she needed it and what he could do for her without Lola ever having to actually say anything. They had their own little language in which they would communicate without anybody else understanding and I thought that their bond was so special.

"Your love is branded on my brain.

Yours is still the only kiss I want."

October
A Lover's Lament by BT Urruela & KL Grayson
*New Authors*
I am a sucker for second-chance-romance novels, I really am. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The love between the two characters was obvious and it immediately had the reader rooting for them. I'm so glad I found this book- it ended up being one of my favorites, not only this year, but out of all the books I have read so far. I will definitely be looking forward to the next book written by these two.

"Our tents have a smell that could be collected and used as a biological weapon.

November
November 9 by Colleen Hoover
I read half of this book on the new Crave Romance app but then it was too good and I got impatient so I had to bring out my paperback. November 9 shocked the hell out of me. I always go into a book having certain expectations. Sometimes I am let down, sometimes I get what I expected. November 9 was neither of these. It was a mess that slowly came together and left me with my jaw on the ground and my heart beating rapidly inside my chest. Colleen Hoover doesn't disappoint. I can't wait to see what comes next- November 9 is exceptional....and will be very hard to top.

"You'll never be able to find yourself if you're lost in someone else."

December
Sweet Soul (Sweet Home #5) by Tillie Cole
I have been waiting for Levi Carillo's story for so long- it almost seems surreal that I finally got to read it. Levi was always the quiet, shy Carillo brother. He had to endure things no child should ever be exposed to. It actually amazes me how a character could be dragged through hell and still remain so pure and so sweet- so unbelievably kind and loving towards those around him. It was one hell of an emotional book but it was just as beautiful. It was the perfect book to end the year with.

"She gave him the shine,
a stitched up heart hole
The blessing to her,
the purest sweet soul."

That's it for 2015! Although the post is a day late I still wanted to create it in hopes of making this a yearly thing. If you have read any of the above, let me know! If not, I truly, seriously, hope you consider giving them a shot. They are such wonderful books written by such creative and amazing authors.
